Dechen Zam- (BCom), 2012.

I loved my three years stay at RTC but it was certainly not a walk in the park until graduation. It wasn’t easy to study all those thick books, complete numerous assignments and pass the countless tests and exams. If I wasn’t guided by my lecturers, I would have approached them probably the wrong way. So, I thank ROYAL THIMPHU COLLEGE for not only making me who I am, but also for getting me to where I am today.

This past year has been a very challenging year for me since there was no one to guide me like I had at RTC.I am working as an Assistant Finance Officer in Bhutan Power Corporation; a step closer to my dream job of becoming a Finance officer.

The first month as an employee was very difficult for me to adjust as I had to the working environment. I owe my deepest appreciation to my colleagues and seniors in my department for their support.

Apart from my very satisfying job, I have also had the opportunity and privilege to receive a Scholarship for a Masters Degree from His Majesty the 5th king. During His Majesty’s 2nd visit to the college, he promised that he would send two students who perform well in terms of academics and behavior for further studies. I am now determined to work even harder and follow His Majesty’s advice to us.

To all the students of RTC, I would like to congratulate you all for being a part of this amazing family. A strong determination to succeed as failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough.

“YOU ARE ALL YOU CAN BE, SO GO ON AND BE IT”.
