Join the CITL seminar to engage in discussions on teaching and learning at RTC. The seminar, spanning over 2-3 hours, delves into relevant topics derived from CITL's needs assessment study.

Objectives:

  • Foster discussion on teaching-learning theories, practices, issues, and opportunities.
  • Enhance understanding of RTC's specific teaching and learning needs.
  • Encourage meaningful engagement among faculty

Seminar structure:

  • Format: Master class seminar
  • Contributors: 2-3 facilitators per seminar
  • Participants: Choose to be a participant (2 CPD) and a contributor (4 CPD)

Preparation:

  • Read the assigned articles ahead of the seminar.
  • Explore the RTC context - concerns, challenges, and opportunities.

Description:

Understanding the general characteristics that different generations of students bring to the classroom and their strengths and challenges allows educators in their ongoing efforts to explore and implement suitable and relevant teaching models and strategies in their classroom practice. Gen Z, also known as digital natives, has distinct learning needs, preferences, and expectations. This seminar will explore the opportunities and practical strategies to engage today's students.
