Bhutan's First and Only A+ Accredited Institution      Inspiring Education in Bhutan

The CITL Seminar Series consists of semi-formal seminars designed to promote discussion on teaching-learning theories, practices, issues, and opportunities at RTC. The main aim of the seminar is to bring faculty members together to discuss topics pertinent to teaching-learning in higher education by reading/presenting relevant work on the topics. Through these seminars, we hope to better understand and meet the needs of the College in the teaching and learning process. We invite both tutors and students to participate in the seminar series for meaningful discussions. Seminars will be conducted on occasional Mondays and Wednesdays after class.

Seminars will be conducted on occasional Mondays and Wednesdays after class.

Every semester, two seminar series will be held. The topics of the seminar series will be derived from the need assessment study conducted by the CITL office. Each seminar will last 1.5 to 2 hours. Faculty members can choose to be a participant (2 CPD points) or a contributor (4 CPD points) - different points will be assigned as per your role in the seminar.

The structure of the seminars will be similar to a master class seminar, with 2-3 volunteer contributors each presenting a paper on the topic of discussion. The contributors will present the key arguments of the assigned paper. Following the presentation of the paper arguments, seminar participants will explore the RTC context of the topic, including concerns, challenges, and opportunities. Participants will also be required to read one of the articles ahead of time.
